My Blogging Journey: How I Earned My First $1000 After 3 Years of Hard Work
My Blogging Journey: From a Teacher During COVID-19 to Earning My First $1000 Online
When the COVID-19 pandemic began, schools closed, and like millions of teachers around the world, I suddenly found myself at home with no income and no idea what to do next.
But I had one thing — a computer that my elder sister gave me.
And that simple gift changed my entire life.
This is the story of how I started from zero knowledge, learned everything about blogging by myself, and after years of hard work and patience, finally earned my first $1000 online in September 2025.
The Beginning: Searching for a Way to Make Money Online
When schools closed, I started searching on Google and YouTube:
“How to make money online.”
I watched hundreds of videos that promised easy money — watching ads, typing CAPTCHA, visiting websites, and doing micro tasks.
I tried everything. After one month, I made $1, then slowly $10, but I couldn’t withdraw the money because I didn’t have a PayPal account.
That was my first big realization:
“Without real skills, I can’t make real money.”
Learning Computers from Zero
At that time, I didn’t even know how a computer really worked.
So I decided to invest in myself.
I joined a computer course to learn the basics — typing, internet browsing, Microsoft Office, and how computers function.
After completing the course, I felt more confident. I started searching again for new opportunities and discovered something that truly excited me: Blogging.
Starting My First Blog
I began watching YouTube videos about blogging. One of the channels that inspired me was Ajs420. I followed every step, learned how to create a blog, and started writing in Bangla content.
I wrote 23 blog posts, but there was almost no traffic.
No one was reading my articles, and I had so many questions in my head:
- How do I get visitors?
- Why isn’t Google ranking my posts?
- How do people earn from blogs?
That’s when I realized I needed proper guidance.
Finding a Mentor and Learning Proper Blogging
While searching online, I found Hafizur Rahman, who offered a blogging course.
I joined his course, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Through that course, I learned step by step:
- How to buy a domain name and hosting
- How to install and use WordPress CMS
- How to write SEO-friendly blog posts
- How to do content writing effectively
- How to research keywords
- How to use images properly in blog posts
At the same time, I continued watching YouTube tutorials and practicing what I learned.
The Struggles: No Traffic, No Income
Even after learning so much, my first few blogs didn’t get traffic.
I was writing, optimizing, and publishing — but the visitors just weren’t coming.
I didn’t earn anything for three years, and many people told me to quit.
But I didn’t.
Instead, I decided to learn more — about social media marketing, affiliate marketing, CPA marketing, canva design, t-shirt design, digital product cration, video editing.
Learning Affiliate Marketing from Raju Bhadra
During this phase, I started watching videos by Raju Bhadra, who shared detailed tutorials about affiliate marketing. His videos inspired me a lot, and I decided to take his affiliate marketing course.
Through that course, I learned how to:
- Create Amazon affiliate accounts
- Choose the right products for promotion
- Write product-based blog posts
- Add affiliate links properly
- Track and grow affiliate sales
This was my first real step into the world of online income. I started Amazon affiliate marketing, but I soon realized that without traffic, even affiliate marketing couldn’t bring results.
That’s when I focused completely on how to drive traffic to my blog — and it changed everything.
The Turning Point: Pinterest + Blogging
In 2024, I started working regularly on blogging and Pinterest marketing.
I learned Pinterest through YouTube videos, tested different strategies, and started seeing results.
Soon, my first blog got:
- Over 80,000 outbound clicks from Pinterest
- 90% of the traffic from the USA

And finally, after years of effort, I earned my first $1000 in September 2025 from:
- Google AdSense $265.59
- Ezoic Ad Network $776.54
- Amazon Affiliate Program $10.22
- TOTAL = $1052.32
The Hardest Lesson: Never Give Up
My first blog was rejected by AdSense 13 times.
Each time, I improved it — better content, better design, better SEO.
And finally, after the 14th attempt, I got AdSense approval.
That approval wasn’t just an email — it was proof that my patience, learning, and persistence were worth it.
Today: Managing 3 Successful Blogs
Now, I proudly run three blogs, all approved by AdSense.
I earn through ads, affiliate programs, and Pinterest traffic — and continue to learn every day.
Blogging has taught me not just how to make money, but how to be patient, disciplined, and creative.
My Advice for Beginners
If you’re thinking about starting your own blogging journey, remember:
- Start with learning. Don’t chase shortcuts.
- Be consistent. Write regularly, even when no one reads.
- Learn SEO and keyword research. It’s your best skill.
- Promote your blog. Use Pinterest, Facebook, and other platforms.
- Don’t give up. Failure is part of the process.
Final Thoughts
When I lost my teaching job during COVID-19, I never thought that one day I would earn money online doing something I love.
Blogging turned my struggle into strength and gave me a new identity.
If you’re struggling right now, remember — every expert was once a beginner.
Keep learning, keep going, and your success will come too.
